Collagenase

Crescent Chemical Co., Inc. supplies NORDMARK COLLAGENASE NB, GMP COLLAGENASE, ANIMAL FREE COLLAGENASE, NEUTRAL PROTEASE NB, GMP NEUTRAL PROTEASE, ANIMAL FREE NEUTRAL PROTEASE and CLOSTRIPAIN NB. Collagenases obtained from Clostridium histolyticum are enzymes that break the peptide bond in collagen. Clostridium histolyticum secretes Collagenase Class I and II, Neutral Protease and Clostripain. These four enzymes work together to dissociate the extracellular matrix for cell isolation from tissue for clinical and research applications.

Animal free Collagenase AF-1 GMP Grade, The World's First
Animal free Collagenase AF-1 GMP Grade is derived from Clostridium histolyticum using a production process completely free of any animal based components. Any risk of transmission of potential animal-derived pathogens is excluded. This highly purified collagenase, often in combination with Neutral Protease AF GMP Grade, is suitable for the dissociation of sensitive cells from pancreas, liver and dental pulp tissues. It has been shown to be highly effective for the isolation of islets of Langerhans from human pancreas intended for transplantation.

Animal free Neutral Protease AF GMP Grade, The World's First
Animal free Neutral Protease AF GMP Grade is derived from Clostridium histolyticum using a production process completely free of any animal based components to eliminate any risk of transmission of potential animal-derived pathogens. This purified metalloprotease is suitable for the dissociation of tissue in clinical applications.

GMP Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade
This highly purified collagenase is used for isolation of sensitive cells. Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade in combination with Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade is especially applicable to isolation of pancreatic islets of Langerhans. Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade is recommended for applications which have to meet GMP requirements like tissue engineering and transplantation into humans.

GMP Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade
Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade is used in combination with purified Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade or Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade for applications which have to meet GMP requirements like tissue engineering and transplantation into humans.

Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade
For applications which have to meet GMP requirements like tissue engineering and transplantation. Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade is applicable to tissue dissociation such as isolation of human ADSCs, stem cells, chondrocytes, fibroblasts, neuronal and endothelial cells.

Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade
This highly purified collagenase grade is used for isolation of sensitive cells. Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade in combination with Neutral Protease NB is especially applicable to isolation of pancreatic islets of Langerhans from different species like human or pig. For research use only. If cells are intended for transplantation into humans, Collagenase NB 1 GMP Grade is recommended.

Neutral Protease NB
Neutral Protease NB is used in combination with purified Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade as well as Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade or Collagenase NB 8 Broad Range. For research use only. If cells are intended for transplantation into humans, Neutral Protease NB GMP Grade is recommended.

Neutral Protease NB High Active Grade
Neutral Protease NB High Active Grade contains an increased proteolytic activity and is used in combination with highly purified Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade, Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade or Collagenase NB 4G Proved Grade.

Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade
As Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade has comparable enzymatic properties to Collagenase NB 5 Sterile Grade and Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade, this enzyme might also be used in order to establish applications which have to meet sterile or GMP requirements like tissue engineering and transplantation.

Collagenase NB 4G Proved Grade
Suitable for isolation of a broad variety of cell types, especially for fibroblasts, human and rodent hepatocytes, frog oocytes and epithelial cells.

Collagenase NB 5 Sterile Grade
Collagenase NB 5 Sterile Grade is applicable to tissue dissociation such as isolation of human and rodent hepatocytes, chondrocytes, neuronal and endothelial cells, fibroblasts, cells from adipose tissue (e.g. ADSCs), stem cells and rodent osteoblasts. See Collagenase NB 6 GMP Grade for clinical applications like tissue engineering and transplantation.

Collagenase NB 8 Broad Range
Suitable for a broad range of different applications in tissue dissociation such as isolation of rodent pancreatic islets of Langerhans, human cardiomyocytes, tumor cells, muscle cells, osteoblasts and porcine hepatocytes. Increased collagenase activity compared to Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade and Collagenase NB 4G Proved Grade .

Clostripain
Clostripain also known as Clostridiopeptidase B or Endoproteinase Arg-C is a proteinase that cleaves peptide bonds on the carboxyl side of arginine. This protein is a heterodimer composed of a heavy and a light chain that are held together via strong noncovalent forces. As a proteolytic enzyme it can be used for isolation of various cell types by tissue dissociation. Clostripain exists in two different forms, an oxidized, native condition and a reduced activated form that differ in enzymatic activity. The native clostripain can be activated with reducing agents (e.g. DTT, Cysteine) resulting in a higher activity of the enzyme. Clostripain NB is used in combination with purified Collagenase NB 1 Premium Grade and/or Neutral Protease NB as well as Collagenase NB 4 Standard Grade or Collagenase NB 8 Broad Range. For research use only.
